For years, I thought perfection was my safety net. If I could make something flawless before sharing it, I wouldn’t have to risk failing—or worse, being judged.
But here’s the truth I’ve uncovered: perfectionism doesn’t protect us. It keeps us stuck.
I used to hold back ideas, offers, even simple things like cleaning, because I couldn’t do them “perfectly.” I told myself I was just being careful, but in reality, I was hiding. The result? Piles of unfinished work, irritation with feedback, and a constant inner whisper: you failed.
Sound familiar?

Many of the women I work with tell me similar stories. Perfectionism takes different forms, but the weight is the same:
-
The résumé that never gets updated because it has to be just right.
-
The LinkedIn profile that stays untouched.
-
The brilliant idea for a workshop or project that never sees daylight.
-
The endless preparation that never becomes action.
Perfectionism promises protection from failure, but what it really delivers is paralysis. It robs us of growth, joy, and opportunities that come only when we dare to be imperfectly visible.
A Reframe: What If?
Instead of asking, What if I fail?
Ask: What becomes available if I take one step now, even imperfectly?
Often, the answer is relief. Permission. Curiosity. The three feelings that open doors to your next chapter.
One of my clients recently took a “messy first step” by sending a short message to a recruiter rather than waiting until her résumé was polished. That tiny step turned into an interview—and a reminder that progress, not perfection, is what moves us forward.
My Own Imperfect Step
Here’s how I’m practicing this right now: perfectionism has been holding me back from creating and offering a program I’ve felt deeply called to share. I was waiting until it felt flawless. But I realized the only way to truly serve is to take the imperfect, courageous step.
So today, I’m opening the doors to a very special pilot of The Radiant Leadership Reset. Only 5 women will be invited into this first circle before I release it more widely.
This intimate experience is designed to help you reclaim your confidence, energy, and balance—so you can step out of the cage of perfectionism and into the light of your true leadership.
👉 If this speaks to you, set up a discovery session with me and I’ll share the next steps.
Because life isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be lived—boldly, imperfectly, and radiantly.
