Surrender, Guidance, and the Power of Letting Go

Trusting a deeper wisdom to guide your path

For many of us — especially those of us who live in our heads — surrender feels like a foreign language.
The mind wants a plan. A guarantee. A clear map.

But surrender doesn’t work that way.

I used to think surrender meant giving up. Now I know it’s about opening up. It’s not about losing control — it’s about releasing the illusion that control is the only way forward.

What I Want: A Personal Shift Back to Alignment

How Transform Me Prayers Are Guiding Me Right Now

Recently, I found myself deeply triggered by the political injustices in the U.S. My emotions were raw. My patience was gone. I felt like my heart had closed.

In that space, I made the painful choice to cut off most of my friends and family – including a dear friend – because I couldn’t be kind or compassionate. I didn’t know how to cope.

One morning, I sat down with my journal and wrote a Transform Me prayer, inspired by Tosha Silver’s Change Me Prayers.

It has become my lifeline.

Through the simple, daily act of surrendering these words, I’ve softened. I’ve stopped trying to control the situation or force myself to “get over it.” I’ve taken responsibility for my own triggers, and slowly, I’m transforming.

I have mended that friendship. Not because the she changed, but because I have.

The Prayer I’m Using Today

Transform me, Divine Beloved, into one that receives with open arms and honors the gifts you provide.
Allow me to build bridges of compassion to spread hope and be the seer of resolution for the highest and best good of all.
Inspire me to sing a new story of my life into being that unleashes harmonic resonance in my life as a conscious dreamer who mindfully plants seeds.
Remove any and all blocks that impact my transformation and intuition.
I am Yours. You are mine. We are One.

A Daily Practice of Surrender

For me, surrender is a daily practice.

Each morning, I begin with journaling and my InnerSpeak process. I start my day in surrender.

But then… life happens. Distractions creep in. I “fall asleep.”

And that’s okay.

The more I practice, the quicker I remember to wake up and return to surrender. It’s not about perfection – it’s about presence.

Your Turn

What might change if you invited life to work through you instead of doing it all yourself?

I invite you to write your own Transform Me prayer for something you’re struggling with right now. Let it be your anchor. Your reset button. Your way home.
